Staff welcoming

The Welcome Plan is directed towards new administration and services staff working in faculties and teaching centres, research centres, and the rectorate. The Welcome Plan is also for new staff arriving through a mobility programme, or existing staff taking a new position through internal promotion.

The welcome begins as soon as someone begins a post at the UAB after successfully passing the selection process.

The aims of the welcome process are:

· to welcome people that have just begun working for the UAB, accompanying them as they integrate into the University;
· to help people integrate into the organisation, providing them with the information and training they need to develop their roles in the best way possible;
· to promote the feeling of belonging to the UAB, conveying the mission, objectives and values of the organisation.

As part of the welcome process, there is a welcome tutor, a manual, and initial training, both for the newcomers being welcomed and for the other people involved in the process.
