Personal attention The UAP (Unitat d?Assessorament Psicopedagňgic) counselling team is made up of Gabriel Chancel (psychologist), Roser Pericon (pedagogue), Andrea Calsamiglia (social psychologist), Maria Mena (social psychologist) and Mirentxu Jordana (counsellor). During the 2009/10 academic year three students in their fourth year of Psychology will also be helping out at the centre: Laia Gasa, Daniel Tejedor and Albert Sánchez.
If you wish to talk personally to one of the UAP members, you also have the chance to do so online. Service hours and more information can be found at Parlem-ne. Before using this service it is recommended that you read and agree to the rules and regulations. All conversations are private and fully confidential. Vocational guidance There are many students who throughout the year come to us with doubts about their academic future. In these cases, the UAP team carries out a first interview which helps to understand why they chose the branch they are studying, which process led them to make the decision, which external factors were involved (marks, family, professional status, etc.), previous knowledge of the studies, etc. Once the variables which directly influenced their choice are analysed, other changes in their life are studied in depth to be able to decide whether it is best for them to begin a new selection process and change their studies, or whether it is more important to address other changes they are going through. Professional guidance UAP offers information on different career options for your branch of studies and analyses your interests and expectations of the professional world to help you make the right choice. If you do not feel motivated with the studies you have chosen or are having doubts about whether to continue or choose another one, our team can help you sort out many of you professional doubts. You can also consult updated information on other study programmes you may be interested in (such as master?s degrees and doctoral programmes). We can help you pick out different options and find out which of the professional profiles best fit your interests and your professional future.
