Mentor Programme
The Mentor programme aims to make your stay as an international student at UAB easier and at the same time provide you with the possibility of getting to know another culture and take part in activities with local students and students from other countries.
Who can participate?
1. Local students enrolled in undergraduate degrees and who have spent at least one year at UAB.
2. The programme will be put into practice in any faculty in which at least three international students have asked for a Mentor. Therefore, students from all faculties can become Mentors, although the number of Mentors will depend on the number of international students who apply for the programme.
Activities involved
1. Staying in contact with your international students (maximum 7 per mentor) throughout the academic year and especially at the beginning when they arrive.
2. Referring international students to the institutions or persons who can help them solve any problem or difficulty they may come across.
3. Participating in training sessions, such as in the Language Service programme ?Argumenta?, and attending sessions once a month with other local.
4. Participating in the outings for international students organised by the Students Building (ETC), as well as in the welcoming sessions.
5. Staying in contact with the programme organisers of the Students Building.
6. Write up a final report at the end of the term or academic year explaining and expressing your opinion on the process of mentoring as a whole.

Would you like to become a Mentor?
To participate in the programme you need only fill out the form below. Once your form is processed you will receive an e-mail with details on the next ETC meeting in which you will learn more details about how the Mentor programme works.
At the end of each academic year (late June to early July) we will offer short training sessions on accommodation issues so that you can help international students needing accommodation to find it as soon as they arrive.
