The Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) is responsible for higher education teaching of knowledge and culture, as well as for specialist and vocational training. The PDI also contributes to generating scientific, technical and professional knowledge through its dedication to research and by transferring its results to the wider society.

On 15 September at 12 pm the Rectorate Building will host the inauguration of UAB's 2010/11 academic year. The event will also mark the year's beginning for the rest of the Catalan university system and will be broadcast live. [+]

UAB's Faculty of Philosophy and Arts is hosting the World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies (WOCMES), organised by IEMed. Over 2,500 participants from 72 countries are taking part in the congress. [+]
